Beginning with version 49 of Chromium the keygen tag has been disabled by default, preventing generation of keypairs in the browser.
Chrome users can re-enable client-side keygen either:
- Globally from chrome://settings/content
- or on a specific page by clicking the OIB/Origin Info Bubble (the image to the left of the URL) and then clicking the Site Settings link
Note: On https pages, the OIB includes the padlock icon. On http pages, it takes the simpler form of a document icon.
More information: Chrome Issue 588182. All keygen tag support may be removed from Chromium in future versions.
